Les Frangines
We visited this restaurant close to our hotel 3 times during our stay. They offer 3 different prices for dinner from 16 to 25 Euros. The service was very friendly and helpful despite our poor French.
The food was also outstanding. From the Cappaccio de boeuf basilica and Parmesan to the Tartare de boeuf, frites et salade and the Ile flottente au caramel.
The restaurant did have mainly local customers and was quiet (we had no idea why) If staying in the Montrouge/Porte D'Orleans area please visit this Wonderful little restaurant.
Word of advice, It was closed at the weekend.

It's a simple place with good food and very reasonable prices, I got out of there for 21 euros
Very recommended just one thing don't go at 7 go a little later maybe closer to 8 the kitchen needs that time to get rolling

I enjoyed the two courses I had at this friendly little restaurant: a pan-fried goats cheese with salad to start, then a simple but perfectly cooked cod with mashed potatoes (real potatoes, not reconsituted rubbish!) and melted cheese. I didn't see what anyone else was eating, but I got the impression this restaurant will only serve you well-prepared homely food. There was a tiny bar here too, which would be a nice place to while away a couple of hours if you're bored with your hotel bar.
The only caveat: if you are vegetarian, you will be hard-pressed to find anything on the menu.
